Lunch & Learn and Book Signing
Friday, February 27, 2015
11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
We have seen 51 governors since Florida became a U.S. territory, each with a unique story and countless contributions to our great state and nation. A noted historian of the Florida governorship, Robert Buccellato shares these stories and contributions in his book Florida Governors: Lasting Legacies. Joined by former Governor Wayne Mixson, Buccellato brings his book to the Florida Historic Capitol Museum, where our first 36 governors under statehood made their mark on history.
Join us on your lunch break for Sonny’s Barbecue, sweet tea, and stories about the people who put Florida on the map. Former Governor Mixson and Robert Buccellato will sign the book documenting the dramatic tale of our town and state. Guests are welcome to bring their own lunches, but to reserve a pulled pork or smoked chicken sandwich, call us at (850) 487-1902. Lunches are $5 for Museum Members and $10 for non-Members. Don’t miss the chance to be a part of history and celebrate with us the amazing accomplishments of 193 years of Florida leadership.
